Quando - Pinot Noir - 2010

This wine originates from one  of the highest laying vineyards in the Breede River Valley halfway up the Langeberg Mountains behind the village of Ashton.

This small Pinot Noir vineyard is rooted in Weathered Karoo shale and even in summer is sometimes covered in clouds. The grapes were harvested by hand in the cool early morning on 21 Feb 2009, destemmed by hand and received a cold maceration for one week before fermentation.

TASTING NOTES:

Alluring nose showing red cherries and forest floor notes, following though with a rich and full palate possessing a core of dark fruit with soft fruity tannins.

14,5 % alc; 6.4g/l acidity; pH 3.3; 2.2g/l sugar; Free Sulpur31; Total Sulphur 81
